We are honoured to be a part of your journey to motherhood and thank you for choosing to spend time with us at The SPA, Painted Boat Resort. We are proud to maintain an inclusive environment, where everyone is welcome and although some of our spa treatments are unsuitable for you during pregnancy, we still want you to feel pampered and cared for during your visit. The following treatments have been chosen specifically for pre-natal women by our experienced Spa Therapists to help you relax, feel special and ‘glow’!
IMPORTANT:
To protect the health of you and your unborn child, please take a moment to read the following information.
1. Please let us know that you are pregnant when booking your treatment
We want to make sure we assign you a spa therapist who is trained in pre-natal spa treatments so that all your needs are covered when you arrive at The SPA and to avoid disappointment. We would also appreciate knowing at what stage of your pregnancy you will be during the time your spa treatment will take place.
2. Spa Garden awareness & Excessive Heat Exposure
When using the hot tub and sauna, pre-natal women may experience dizziness or faintness, due to excessive heat exposure. We encourage you to avoid skipping meals and eat a substantial meal before you arrive for your spa treatment, to avoid fluctuations in blood sugar.
3. Post-natal women
You may also experience the same symptoms of dizziness or faintness when nursing, and we suggest you follow our recommendations above.

Our Spa Therapists are trained in a side-lying technique for pregnancy and provide pillows for comfort and support.

We do not recommend having a massage during the 1st Trimester.

Complimentary Access to the
Spa Serenity Garden
Complimentary herbal tea & water and access to our Spa Serenity Garden is included with your spa treatment. However, we do not recommend the use of the hot tub or sauna during pregnancy.

Guests wishing to access the Spa Garden without having a spa treatment can purchase a spa garden pass from Guest Services at Spa Reception. Reservations are required.
